Haifa Research Center for Maritime Strategy

The newly-established Center combines innovative scholarly research, coupled with practical experience, to address five core areas: regional security and foreign policy; the mobility of goods, people and ideas; law; energy, and the environment.

The Center is led by Admiral (ret.) Ami Ayalon — a former head of the Shin Bet and Rear Admiral (ret.) Dr. Saul Chorev — the immediate past Director General of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission. Learn more...

Supporting Science Research

In our efforts to welcome returning scientists at the University and to foster innovative research in the sciences, the University has launched a campaign to build and outfit cutting-edge laboratories for its new researchers. As part of this endeavor, we have established the Maurice Kanbar Science Pavilion. Each of its state-of-the-art laboratories is fully equipped to support the researchers’ specific needs and provides a work space that is conducive to collaborative, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary research. New Social Welfare & Health Sciences Building

International MA in Holocaust Studies

Israel's only International Master of Arts program in Holocaust Studies has been launched at the University of Haifa. The program is taught in English by a team of respected scholars in the field. World-class educators at the University of Haifa are creating and nurturing the next generation of Holocaust scholars. Emphasizing a comprehensive approach, the program offers exposure to disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, training in multiple research techniques, archive work in Israel and abroad, and the study of European languages essential for primary research.
